Founding members
Founding members are the first readers who paid to be part of this directory. There are 100 places: 50 Standard and 50 Premium. Once they are filled, no more are given.
What a founding member gets
A founding member mark on their listing, and a place at the top of every list in the directory. Founding members are listed first, in the order they joined. Every other reader follows by the longest unbroken confirmed record, then reviews.
How a place is taken
Apply for a Standard listing (€18.00 per quarter, excl. VAT) or a Premium listing (€50.00 per quarter, excl. VAT) and pay your invoice. Your place is secured when the payment reaches our bank, not when it is sent. If your bank takes several days to clear a payment, allow for that and start early.
Places go in the order payments are received, by Amsterdam time (CET). If two payments arrive on the same day and the time cannot be established, the earlier application comes first.
Keeping your place
A founding place stays yours for as long as your paid listing stays current. You can pause your listing when you need a rest and keep your place. If a paid quarter ends and no payment for the next one is received within 14 days, the place ends and cannot be regained.
The free first year
The first 50 Standard listings can choose to have their first 12 months free instead of paying from the start. A free first year earns the same confirmed-active record as every listing, but it does not carry the founding member mark. Founding members are readers who pay.
When your free year ends, you can continue as a paying Standard or Premium listing. If founding places remain at that point, you become a founding member when your first payment is received. If you do not continue, your listing carries on as a free Basic listing.
No bidding, ever
Founding places are a fixed number, given once. They cannot be bought after they are filled, and nobody can bid to move up the list. We take no commission on readings.
Questions
Who is a founding member?
The first 50 Standard and the first 50 Premium readers whose payment the directory received. There are 100 founding places in all.
When is a founding place mine?
When your payment reaches our bank, not when it is sent or invoiced. Places go in the order payments are received, by Amsterdam time (CET). If two payments arrive on the same day and the time cannot be established, the earlier application comes first.
How long do I keep it?
For as long as your paid listing stays current. You can pause your listing and keep your place. If a paid quarter ends and no payment for the next one is received within 14 days, the place ends and cannot be regained.
Does the free first year make me a founding member?
No. A free first year is a Standard listing at no charge for 12 months, with the same confirmed-active record every listing earns. Founding members are readers who pay. If you start paying after your free year while founding places remain, you become a founding member when that first payment is received.
